Obama's Night??MLK's night?? McCain's night??

Last night was certainly Barak Obama's night. Speaking in front of a crowd of 70,000 + and on the anniversary of MLK's speach really was something special. I liked that he incorporated parts of the speech in his own (but it was not overkill). From a pure oratory evaluation he did a fabulous job presenting his speech. I really believe it flowed well in terms of his organization of ideas. I was really intrigued however by McCain's "positive" add. What was the main motivation behind that? Was it heart felt and that he honestly wanted to congratulate Barak? Was it to brush off some of the criticism he has been under for all his negative adds? Or was it to do exactly what it is doing to my blog....take away from reflection about Obama's speach? HMMMM

Paris for President??

Wow I had no idea that Paris had such a sense of Humor! The image of the dude from Tales of the Crypt..... now that was funny. But what really makes this ad great is she actually lays out her stance on an issue. This is something that the nominees have not focused on so much. I want ads that tell me what exactly the candidates are about and what they stand for. Not just negative attacks or generalized catch phrases. I think her compromise (though mildly simplistic) regarding the energy crisis is not bad. Plus it is about an issue that directly concerns me GAS prices. In this ad Paris is able to poke fun at the candidates and their campaigns, herself, but most importantly reach a huge chunk of the population on an issue that matters to her using social networking. Good work Paris, however this is not an endorsement; I don't think I would like a Pink House on Pennsylvania Ave.
