I've Got Issues

As a teacher and mother it is probably a no brainer as to what one of the most important issues of this campaign is to me.....EDUCATION. I really want a candidate that is going to do more than just claim that this is a priority and has a realistic plan of action. I want a candidate that is going to come up with creative solutions beyond just throwing $$$ at the problem. To recognize that access to technology is essential and encouraging teachers to seek professional development and motivating them to stay in the field. Also making it easier for 2nd career individuals to seek teacher licensure. McCain beleives the solution lies in choice and competition vs Obama who wants to focus on early childhood education, science, and retaining quality teachers. These are both ambitious options. I hope that whoever gets elected will make education a priority and recognize that this GLOBAL issue matters to most.

Popular Palin

McCain really did shake things up by choosing Ms. Palin. What gets me though is that she is recieving so much more coverage that McCain. I hope people still understand that when they vote they are not voting for Palin-McCain but McCain-Palin. I wish the media would remember this and do it's job of informing us about the Presidential candidates thoughts on the issues and spend less time on Ms. Palin and her family.
